WRESTLEMANIA PREDICTIONS - PART 1

Wrestlemania 31 is just four days away, and as we countdown to 'The Showcase of the Immortals', each day I will be releasing my predictions for a number of matches set to take place on 'The Grandest Stage of Them All'.

Tag Team Championship Fatal 4-Way

Winner: Tyson Kidd & Cesaro

The fact this match is on the Wrestlemania Pre-Show just goes to show the lack of effort WWE Creative have put into the Tag Team division. There have been no meaningful rivalries created in the division for some time, and as result they have simply thrown four teams (Tyson Kidd & Cesaro, The Usos, The New Day and Los Matadores) into this match. Furthermore, the build up to this match has been a complete joke.

Authors Rant: The fact that I have watched not one, but two 'Interspecies' matches in the build up to Wrestlemania is ridiculous. Not only does it question my intelligence, but the matches themselves were awful. I understand that it's a bit of fun, aimed at the younger audience, but the fact that the WWE treat a little person in a suit as an actual animal is ridiculous. As I am suffering through these 'Interspecies' matches I can't help but think that the sooner the WWE drop these ridiculous storylines, the sooner it can stop becoming such a joke.

What's irritating is the talent in the division is there, and I'm sure they'll put on a great match, it's just they could have built such a better match for Wrestlemania. Anyway, the only logical outcome of this match is for Kidd and Cesaro to retain their championships and continue what should be a long and successful run as Tag Team Champions.

Paige & AJ Lee vs. The Bella Twins

Winner: Paige & AJ Lee

Despite the tension that has recently exploded between Paige and AJ Lee, I still expect them to pick up the victory. However, I believe Brie Bella will turn on her sister Nikki, which will then set up the victory for Paige and AJ. Given the tension between Paige and AJ, Brie turning on her sister will eliminate all allies between the four women and I believe it will set up a Fatal 4-Way match for the Divas Championship at Extreme Rules.

Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

Winner: Damien Mizdow

Damien Mizdow has to be one of the most popular superstars on the roster at the moment, and thoroughly deserves to have a Wrestlemania moment. The WWE Universe has been waiting for months to see him turn on The Miz, and will finally get to see it during this battle royal. It's possible they could work together the whole match, only to have Mizdow disobey and eliminate The Miz to claim the victory. However, the most important aspect of this match is for WWE to learn from the mistakes they made last year, and use this match as a launch pad for whoever wins.

I am also particularly looking forward to seeing an NXT Superstar, most likely Adrian Neville, to make there main roster debut in this match.
