Rhyno def. Elias Sampson via Pinfall

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady def. Vaudevillains via Pinfall

Sasha Banks def. Blue Pants via Submission

Kevin Owens def. Adrian Neville via Pinfall

Just one week after Takeover: Rival, this edition of NXT provided us with a new rivalry and a phenomenal main event. It also announced Sami Zayn was medically cleared, and saw the arrivals of Solomon Crowe and Rhyno, the former United States, ECW and three times hardcore champion, who is attempting to revitalise his career.

The always entertaining Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady look to have started a program with the current NXT Tag Team Champions. Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy cut a promo on the TitonTron, after Amore and Cass' match, by talking trash and hitting on Carmella. For the time being, it appears this rivalry will have somewhat of a focus on Carmella. Hopefully, however, a rivalry with more depth will come out of this angle.

The newly crowned Women's Champion, Sasha Banks, was also in action as she made light work of Blue Pants. Barring some early offence from Blue Pants, this was essentially a squash match. The biggest thing I took away from this match was Bank's character performance, and how good a job she has been doing as of late.

Owens' Domination Continues

Kevin Owens kicked off the show, and it was hard to argue with what he was saying. With the fans divided between Owens and Zayn, he continued his promo by addressing the new number one contender, Finn Balor. Later on Balor responded, but also had a brief stare down with Rhyno, fresh off his first match in NXT. How Rhyno fits into this situation, I'm not sure, but I'm very interested to see where it goes.

After a night of short matches, the main event between Owens and Neville did not disappoint. Owens dominated early, and although Neville fought back to take control, he was unable to stop the wrecking ball that is Kevin Owens.

The powerful and deceptively athletic style of Owens meshed perfectly with Neville's high flying ability, as they put on an incredible match. After a match like this, it's not hard to see why rumours are circulating that WWE's main roster is frustrated over NXT's match quality. As they struggle with time constraints, they can only watch as the so-called 'minor league' of the WWE continues to blow them out of the water. The WWE should structure its shows more like NXT, as that would be best for business.
